This pic was taken last fall at Miami Beach during sun-rise. The flash
didn't go off. However, the image reflects the brief stay we had there.
This pic was taken last fall when Josh & I tried to attend the NAMBLA
conference in Miami.
A few months earlier, I had booked a single private room at the Inn for
myself. Josh showed up unexpectedly just before I was about to go. I asked
NAMBLA if I could bring him but was told no because he wasn't a registered
member of NAMBLA and because I purchased a single room instead of a double
room.
We headed down there anyway since I already sunk $200 bucks into it.
While looking for the Inn, we realized that we were getting deeper and
deeper into the inner city of Miami. When we finally found it, we were
disappointed (to say the least). I don't know what he was expecting, but by
the (lets get the fuck out of here) look on his face, I couldn't agree with
him more.
The Inn itself was fine. It was clean, homely, and secure. But the overall
feeling of the situation gave us both the creeps.
Even with all the disappointment, we were going to give it a try. So we walk
to the office and checked in. We got the keys and headed upstairs to our
(attic) single room. The room was nice and clean. We had no problem with the
Inn itself but Josh still wasn't allowed to stay with me.
There was no way I was going to stay there without him. If I had known he
was going to be there, I would have registered him.
Anyway, we were tired from the days drive from Tampa so we stayed the night
at a Days Inn a few miles away then drove back home the next day.
Actually, I let Josh drive all the way home in the rental while I drank JD
wine coolers.
The reason I joined NAMBLA was because I thought they were open about who
they were and wanted to educate society about man/boy-love. From this
experience, I got the feeling that NAMBLA just wanted to have a private
party.
Maybe there needs to be a new organization formed about man/boy-love. With
members who wont hide there faces when the media cameras are turned on, who
aren't afraid of confrontations, who are more aggressive in spreading the
word that Inter-generational relationships are not only beneficial to all
those involved, but wide-spread across the globe and has been for centuries.
I am getting very tired now and just want to get these posts out. I hope I
made the point I wanted to make. The next pic, josh-Miami_beach.jpg was
taken a couple of minutes later (away from the sun).
