Of course, being "so far behind the curve" they had no idea what they
were
doing until the Merkans came along two years later with their Lockheed
Kickback. Also, they had no suitable "ugly as sin" airplane on which to
employ it until the Blackburn Buccaneer was rushed into service to outsin
the Grumman Intruder.
