Considering that some of those pictures appear to taken before any
work was done, the hull of the ship is remarkably clean, nary a
barnacle to be seen. Probably a result of the newer copper and
capsaicin containing paints which deter those sea creatures.
In some of the pictures they are showing the props being replaced. It
is difficult for me to tell, the replacements appear to have a
different blade design, so, they might actually be new props, not
simply refurbished. Talk about an expensive undertaking.
It's also interesting that the new props are painted, must be some
really sticky paint. Wonder if that reduces cavitation?
