The comments I've read say it benefits the Iranians, Russians but especially the
Turks...because the Eastern part of the country is occupied by the Kurds who
want to establish 'Kurdistsan'...which would mean part of Turkey...ya...no love
lost between those two!!
The whole exercise is to please Turkey...huge NATO partner.

immediately saw the move as a betrayal of the Syrian Kurds who fought
one priority in Syria.

The Commander in Chief can order it but it looks like the Defense Dpt will slow
walk it.
