POTUS has it within his authority to insist on attending. At the very
least he could have made the trip by road.
No, considering the sacrifices made by the marines and soldiers buried
at Aisne-Marne, Trump was a bombastic, good-for-nothing asshole for
skipping this ceremony.
On the other hand, it might have been for the best, as these American
heroes would have probably spun in their graves at the mere presence
of the American zero.
