After Prodigy (remember them?) TOSsed me in 1999, I used local mom-and-pop
providers for many years, with Earthlink as a backup whenever they went down
(which was often). Small ISPs need every account, while big ones can cancel
accounts on a whim. As the years went by, I noticed that Earthlink paid less
and less attention to complaints about my politically-incorrect postings. I
guess they were tired of hearing niggerwhines too...
