still has them in their computer systems as a reminder.
At age 17 (his picture in Marine uniform makes him look no older than 15), my
uncle, lying about his age, joined the Marines after Pearl Harbor...wounded
within a week after landing on Guadalcanal! VA still looked after him when his
wounds occasionally gave him problems...even after he turned 80.
