Webster,
Sorry about the long delay in filling your request.
Csv's are text files with (C)omma (S)eparated (V)alues. They can list
anything. They can list precious things; they can list garbage. I have set
myself the task of separating trash from treasure.
The works of five authors other than myself sit on my drives. Count Draculol
didn't issue any LS Land csv's. Another author didn't manage any error-free
LS Land sets at all. A third, who was hit and miss, did get it correct twice,
but only 'n@@dles' and 'bourne' were consistently correct or near-correct.
Their work showed such diligence that even their close misses have value.
Even so, only sets without known fatal errors were included in this 'bible'.
Fatal errors include missing files, renamed files, and reworked (non-
authentic) files. I also disallow purposefully included non-LS files
(rotated, corrected, index files, joined videos, etc.). While I see no
problem having these extras in your collection, in my judgement they don't
belong in the csv.
Non-fatal errors include having a different extension on a video, issuing a
set without the [optional] cover image, or using a capital letter in place of
lower-case. I also allow LS-issued thumbs when an image is corrupt. However,
no authors included thumbs with any of their LS Land sets.
Of the 32 LS Land sets, 18 have three or more concurring csv's. These should
inspire the highest confidence in their authenticity. A further 12 have two
concurring csv's.
N@@dles had 23 of his csv's included. Of the missing nine, 5 he never issued,
3 lack proper video entries although the image entries are correct, and 1 has
a single questionable image entry. N@@dles batting average is phenomenal. It
is worthwhile having his complete csv sets for all of LS.
Bourne had 26 of his csv's included. The other 6 were excluded due to one or
more questionable image entries per set.
Two of the LS Land sets lack concurring csv's. These are set 21 Stunning
Dolls, and set 23 Old Story. N@@dles never issued a csv for either of these
sets and bourne's csv's differ from my own, but only slightly. I have
included bourne's set 21 csv because it is currently impossible to judge one
of his entries. While I feel my csv is the right one, it may turn out that
bourne is correct after all. I omitted his set 23 csv because of a single
missing entry, but he differed from me otherwise only in one image. I believe
lod-074-064.jpg was released corrupt, and that bourne renamed the equivalent
Ukrainian Nymphets image to fill the spot. Otherwise, we agree on all the
remaining, a very high degree of concurrency.
