Yin & Yang. Maybe we can't appreciate "the best of times"
without "the worst of times".
Someone out there is looking for you; they just haven't found
you yet. And don't forget what I said about choosing something else.
You may need to put a little pride aside to put bread on the table.
I haven't wanted to bring up a sore subject. I've been where
you are and I know the fear. I told you how I tightened my screws and
now I'm living off of Social Security. I'd rather live a simple life
than step back into the rat race.
I don't know if you're interested in this avenue, but you can
search through your local employment agencies(Temporary
Services/Temp-To-Hire) to see what hiring positions they have. And
that is beyond your city's Unemployment Office. You might be suprised
by what they're looking for(I was).
About a month before my unemployment ran out, I was scared
shitless. I wasn't at retirement age so I had to find work. You
could say I wanted to find work in the worst way...and I found it. :-/
There were years of bad decisions on my part that lead me there, but I
was making as much and then more than I had been. 12hr shifts are a
bitch though! I could have stayed on there too. I had good
reviews/was in good standing. I chose to bug out though - hated it!
The moral of my story is: always be updating your skills. I
had a hard beginning, but that's no excuse really. People attain
things because they strive for them. Your ambition is what you make
of it; turn it off or turn it up to 11. I always told my family that,
ya, it's fun playing/having leisure time, but if you're making 6 or 7
figures? That's where the real fun begins. You can party in the
Mediterranean or the beaches of France, drive Ferrari's or
Lamborghini's....
The World's not done with us yet!
