You're welcome, Jack. Glad your better half is doing well.
Our recoveries are meant to be long - I suppose.
I really am tired of complaining. What you should know is, it
sucks being old. I'll say this about my foot, I'm supposed to stretch
it five times a day, right? Yesterday I had a real epiphany: I'd
been out in the yard weeding and for whatever reason, that set it off.
I came in the house and stretched it and the pain went away. Poof!
Gone. ...But my neck still hurt like a SOB so I grabbed the ibuprofen
any way.
I went to bed scared last night. I hadn't checked my blood
pressure in quite a while. 200 and something over 100 and something.
What?! Checked it again - same reading. Can't be right, I'm
thinking. I've religiously taken my meds every morning(despite my
thinking it's been behind my acid reflux problem that's started to
plague me daily). I had decided to start taking it at night and quit
the late night snack-attacks. I even switched arms and had the same
reading. Last night I did the switch with the night time taking of
the blood pressure medicine and hoped I wouldn't blow a gasket in my
sleep.
I survived the night, happily, and my bp is down to 146/102. I
don't know what's up with that. The meds have been working. I'll
monitor more closely and if things don't settle down I'll make another
doctor's appointment. This bisoprolol they have me on is by no means
a cure all. I never had any chest pains till I started taking it. And
last night in bed it was bothering me like that.
I don't know what the deal was last night. The bp
machine...the thought I had was: is this fucking thing trying to
pinch my arm in two? So when I saw the reading I was thinking this
thing isn't working right! It just seemed unusually applying too much
pressure. I just don't know.
The high bp problem snuck up on me quickly - out of the blue
and I'm trusting the doctors to cure me. You know for all I know this
might even be work related. idk The place I worked at had a lot of
chemicals flying around. One of the reasons I quit there and decided
to retire was I ended up have an allergic reaction every time I
stepped in the place.
I'm just talking now. Sorry.
