The compamy sets the QC, lower QC = higher profit!

Ever heard of statistics - Well if you went beyound basic

math you would know that it is how and when you sample.

More samples = more data and that allows more adjustment in

the process which reduces failure rate. That costs money.

WD settled for lower cost at the expense of higher failure.
