Welcome back to the series of probably uncirculated audience recordings. So the story goes, Tape Man Joe attended many concerts. Joe used a Sony D6 with
a Nakamichi Mic and TDK metal tapes. Joe made a few copies and gave them to friends but never actively traded his recordings. Recently Joe lent a few of his masters to his friend, Jungleland user G (a generous collector himself who has lent tapes from his collection to help upgrade many shows). G asked me to finishoff the transfers and post them.
One has to wonder now that we share the fourth recorder, was there anyone not taping at this show? There have been a succession of upgrades leading up to the Hobbes4444 master recording that was shared in 2013. There is only one tape flip that I considered patching (between Roulette and Cover Me). Joe's recording only misses three seconds of the show and no music was missed. To me it sounded more natural and less jarring not to patch it. So I cross-faded the tracks together. The Tunnel of Love tour usually finds folks in either love or hate camp. The tour featured (for lack of a better term) fairly stagnant set lists in the U.S. If you are in team love, this recording is for you.

Known faults:
Tape flip between Roulette And Cover Me. Not patched. No music lost.
From Brucbase:
"Cover Me" includes "Gimme Shelter" for the first time. Bruce removes a fan that jumps on stage during "She's The One". "Part Man, Part Monkey" includes"Love Is Strange" in the outro. "Born To Run" is solo acoustic. First show at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum since the famous three show stand in December 1980.
Audience tape, three recording sources are available. On the first source "Detroit Medley" is cut and "Raise Your Hand" is missing. The second source is
circulating from a first generation tape and missing "Love Me Tender" (mjk5510). This source utilises patches (including "Love Me Tender" from the first
recording source) to form the complete show. The third, and easily the best quality source entered circulation in 2013 from the master tapes (Hobbes4444). Two short patches of six seconds each at the beginning of "Roulette" and "Cover Me" make this tape complete and the one to seek out. Show has been released on CDR 'Boom Boom' but it is uncertain which source that release uses. Parts of the show are available on a good quality DVD shot from behind the stage, providing an almost unique view.
Thanks to Tape Man Joe for recording and sharing his tapes and G for transferring the files.
