Welcome back to the series of probably uncirculated audience recordings. So the story goes, Tape Man Joe attended many concerts. Joe used a Sony
D6 with either a Sony 929 or 939 microphone (memories have faded on which exact mic) and TDK metal tapes. Joe made a few copies and gave them to
friends but never actively traded his recordings. Recently Joe lent a few of his masters to his friend, Jungleland user G (a generous collector
himself who has lent tapes from his collection to help upgrade many shows). G asked me to finish off the transfers and post them.
Joe's taping skills are on full display here. This show lasts over three and a half hours, including a staggering 16 song first set. Yet he only
misses a few seconds between Prove It All Night and Darlington County and the very start of Backstreets. While this isn't his best tape, it is a
remarkably consistent document of this epically long show. It doesn't sound like Joe was perfectly in line with the speakers on this particular
recording has a slight echo. There are talkers and clappers around Joe also.
The show has quite a distinctive set list highlighted by a great five pack of Nebraska material and a playful, yet intense Backsteets. I'm sorry
if I'm a sucker for the intro to the version of Point Blank on this tour, but I could listen to it all day long. It also features other BITUSA
tour rarities such as Who'll Stop the Rain and Street Fighting Man.
To my knowledge, I don't believe this ever circulated before. Let's call Mark Persic's master Recording One and Joe's Recording Two.
Thanks to Tape Man Joe for recording and sharing his tapes and G for transferring the files.

Known faults:
Tape flip between Prove It All Night and Darlington County. Not Patched. Crossfaded, no music lost.
Tape flip between Bobby Jean and Backstreets. Patched with four seconds of Recorder One (Mark Persic Master).
From Brucbase:
Audience tape. Available on CDR from Mark Persic's master recording, good sound quality, titled 'Palace Revolution' from Ev2. First night
of the seven show stand at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles. Set features five songs from Nebraska. "Glory Days" includes a couple bars of
"Out Of Limits" in the introduction.
Following the show Springsteen donates $10,000 to the Steelworkers Oldtimers Foundation, a local food bank.
