Based on the original drawings and cartoons of Ronald Searle.
St. Trinian's ('School for Young Ladies') is bankrupt (as usual) but an
Arab sheik has sent his daughter there. This same sheik has a racehorse
at a local stables that will be racing in the Gold Cup. The headmistresses
bookie brother ensures his own daughter is on hand to report progress. At
the same time Barchester police have planted Sergeant Ruby Gates as a teacher
and the Ministry of Education is sending a third inspector down after the
previous two disappeared without trace. So the schoolgirls do battle against
bureaucracy, their teachers, the local police force and each other.
