Yes, the same film. All of those requests are Maurice Chevalier films I have
been looking for. I'l take it without subs. After I posted my little addendum
about subs, I decided to get the Python program I mentioned working. And it
works quite well. Sometimes drops subs if the dialogue is too quiet, but it does
a serviceable job if no other subs can be found.
It is actually quite impressive. It extracts the soundtrack from the film, then
it uses voice recognition (from Google) to convert it to text and then it
converts the text to a standard srt. (It has the abilty to do the transation to
your preferred language too, but Google now requires that you register for an
API key to use it, so I just translate using my subtitle editing software.
