Thanks I forgot about NZBKing. I had just found the MP4 that was posted
back in 2009 in a.b.m.v-f-pre-1960 by the "Load All Posts" method in my
newsreader (slow) and was composing a "PLS Disregard" message when I
saw your response.
Binsearch didn't find them (too old even for it?) and NZBIndex (my
preferred search because of the filters -- see below) only goes back
1100 days.
Any advanced search tips for NZBKing? Nothing was obvious from parsing
the url. My best guess is you used the IMDB id. Is this consistent
across all posts?
NZBIndex advanced search tips:
-----------------------------------------
Besides selecting one or more groups to limit searching, NZBindex has
several advanced search techniques to help filter unwanted results.
http://www.nzbindex.nl/forum/searchhelp/
Search term(s)* Results
============== ===============
foo | bar --> any results containing 'foo' OR 'bar'
foo -bar --> any results containing 'foo', but NOT 'bar'
"foo bar" --> only results that contain exactly 'foo bar', e.g.
WILL NOT find 'foo_bar'/'foo-bar'/'foo.bar'/etc
foo.bar --> any results containing 'foo
bar'/'foo_bar'/'foo-bar'/'foo.bar'/etc but NOT 'foobar'/'foosbar'/etc
Tip: It's not in the help FAQ but PERIODS are your FRIENDS!!!
Use "." as a single character non-alphanumeric wildcard. When searching
for a short common word that has lots of longer versions use a period
before and/or after the word to eliminate longer versions.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Examples:
.ROM. --> will only shows results containing the word 'ROM' and will
filter out longer variations, e.g.
'Prometheus'/'romance'/'Rome'/'from'/etc., from the search results.
.1980. --> will only find '1980' not any numerical string that
includes 1980. It also finds '(1980)'/'_1980_'/'.1980.'/etc.
Action Comics 2011 | 2012 | 2123 --> show results containing
'Actions Comics' AND { '2011' OR '2012' OR '2013' ) e.g. Actions Comics
2011-2013.
Empire.v --> show results containing 'Empire' followed by the letter
'v' separated by exactly 1 non-alphanumeric character (' ', '_', '.',
etc.) .e.g 'Empire v1' or 'Empire v2'; without the dot/period it would
show all results containing 'Empire" AND the letter 'v' IN ANY ORDER
and would show numerous unwanted results as Empire is a frequent DCP
posting group and includes that word in many other titles/releases than
just the Empire comic series.
blast -blasty -blastaar --> show results containing 'Blast' but NOT
'Blasty' OR 'Blastaar' (release group names); alternately you could use
'Blast.' to remove any results that are longer forms of 'Blast' but
will include 'Blast!', etc.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
You can also specify minimum and/or maximum file sizes, filter out
incomplete posts and hide possible spam.
You can save these edited searches as a bookmark.
