Thanks for the tip.
But a quick search for "non-expiring block Newsdemon" brings up the
sales page for the account. It just seems like a pre-paid data plan for
a usenet service, i.e. X GBs of data with no time limit until used. But
it doesn't seem to be any special block of data; just the same data you
get with a monthly/yearly plan form the same provider. Newdemon does
currently advertise 3034 day retention but I don't see how that helps
with "posts which have been taken down the same day" which is what
grabbed my attention. I assume this to mean DCMA style takedowns of
binary posts. Perhaps Newsdemon or one of the other listed providers is
less likely to have this issue?
I can see this being a good backup for your preferred service. Pay for
X amount of data to supplement your normal usenet subscription service
and not have to worry about your pre-paid data allotment expiring.
While not a guarantee of compleness, it increases the odds, but again
how does this help with "posts which have been taken down the same day"?
Am I missing something?
