Thanks to the Original Poster!

This is the third of John Wayne's three Cavalry films directed by John Ford. The other two are Fort Apache (1948) and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949), I am posting this moving because I am wotking on the 1950s decade here.

In my opinion, it ranks third out of the three Cavalry films. But a film starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara, with a great supporting cast that includes Ben Johnson and Victor McLaglen, can't help but be a great film!
