Hello Chev!
I just got back and saw your list. I appreciate it!
I don't have "Night of Mystery" either. Sometimes these movies are a
challenge to get, but that's part of the fun of collecting.
Some movies are only available on VHS, and there weren't a lot of guys who
had the technology to rip movies when VHS tapes were popular. As technology
improved, more guys were able to rip movies from DVD.
But many movies offered on VHS were not offered on DVD. The market for many
older, but less well-known titles, was not what it had been twenty years
earlier. Many buyers of 1930s and 1940s movies had simply passed on. Maybe
that's part of why I like older movies. There's more of a challenge in
collecting.
I saw one movie on your list that I wanted to get: "The Gracie Allen Murder
Case" (1939). Got it earlier today. I'm a fan of Burns and Allen, and I only
had one other movie with Gracie and without George. Besides, an IMDb
reviewer said "...Gracie Allen finally gets her chance to work opposite
another straight man."
Another straight man? Wonder if we're somehow related. Anyway, thanks again!
