I believe you. After I read your reply, I clicked on your first file (albeit in an isolation) and saw it was the beginnings of the book. Just as you stated.
You have to understand where I'm coming from. The newsgroups came under attack, starting about 2009. The attacks were long-term. I estimate most attackers persisted for seven or so years. Because of the attacks, a lot of posters left.
I believe the attacks came from numerous sources, each with its own agenda. After the attacks began, other attacks started by what I believe were copy-cats.
It seems most of the attacks have stopped. I'm not sure why. Maybe social media now presents itself as a more attractive target. But still, after so many years of attacks, I'm a bit shelll-shocked. Perhaps even overly cautious.
The attacks came in various forms, but mostly by bots. However, individual files, or small groups of files, were posted to look enticing. The goal of the attacker was to get someone to click on a file, which would be a link to a virus, a trojan, or some type of malware.
I have attached a file, which is a panorama of three of the files you posted - images of what I saw. (Each image ends with the "Warning...." line.)
The first, 3/11, is riseandfall-2. It is 356 KB.
The second, 4/11, is riseandfall-4. It is 356 KB.
The third, 11/11, is riseandfall-3. It is 62 KB.
Some of the information I saw has been omitted. None of the omitted information is material to this discussion. Putting the files in numerical order, including their sizes, I saw:

The files appear to be manually altered. It appears files were altered so that the last file was the smallest in size. It appears that files were altered to appear much like an ordinary post's order. Can you blame me for being suspicious?
I never unequivocally said you are posting viruses. I said the files "look suspiciously like viruses. At minimum, they are all corrupt files, or a complete file in which the parts are out of order." As it turns out, it seems the latter is the case.
To avoid such confusion in the future, allow me to suggest making the subject line a bit more descriptive. Something like: Rise and Fall of the Third Reich_book - "riseandfall.html" might avoid confusion. In the meantime, thank you for your contribution!
