Strange. I'm currently using version 4.1.2, and mine does leave a
small 'freemake' logo at the end of the conversion. I've attached a
screencap from a conversion/joining I make a week or so ago.

Not that it couldn't be removed using an editting software, but I've
always gotten that minor annoyance. Wondering whether you use an older
version and that this advertising-type display was added in more
recent versions.
