All I did was download and install the mpc-hc program (I think I got
the version before the beta but maybe not (it's 1.77.157 64 bit). No
add'l codecs or filters installed other than the program, and the file
plays with the mpc-hc player.
But not all is good. After I installed it (and I've since rebooted)
my XBMC (fredo version) no longer works right. Sometimes nothing will
play in XBMC other times only the 1080p and 720p materials won't play.
But that's all my tv-tuner card recordings, which won't play. Not
sure if I have to reinstall XBMC, but I suspect if I do then mpc-hc
likely won't work. Not sure it was worth the trouble, to play the
one movie.
