I use an Android TV Box -> HDMI -> HDTV. Archive (mostly 1080p) movies on
several 2TB+ HDDs. HDD with the movie I want to watch is inserted into a USB
HDD Dock connected to the Android TV Box. Lifetime of archival HDDs is
virtually unlimited. Only used - powered up when watching a movie.
Android TV Box also used to play temporarily stored movies/TV shows directly
from my desktop via network.
