The Gathering (1993) With commentary
Special Edition 16bit Re-Render
Had a couple requests to remake this with the 16 bit processing I used on the last seasons of the series.
What does this have over the old edition I rendered?
- Processed in 16 bit color depth, then rendered out to 10bit
- Higher bitrate
- Commentary added (not sure why I didn't include it last time)
- Chapter names added
There is a noticeable difference between the two versions.
Some may prefer the old render as it has a lot more of the fine detail smoothed out.
Whereas this one you do see more of the rough detail in certain scenes. It will all depend on what you watch them on in the end. I like to think that the near 100 hour render time was worth it.
So this is finally it for the Babylon 5 project started some 7 months ago.
