As a giganews user, I see them complete.
Ironically, it is also complete on news.free.fr (which is the
newsserver maintained by my FAI [accessible only to "Free" subscribers]
and which usually has a lame retention...).
I even saw once one of my posts (to GN) rather incomplete on GN but
complete on Free!
Moreover it is almost complete according, to Binsearch (but I don't
know which server they use to check the files):
