And, this time, were they complete?
Or did you manage to reconstruct the files with par2 files?
I believed for some time that you might have an issue with your newsreader.
I remember another user named “Guy” — on a.b.m.documentaries —
mentioning that files you thought were incomplete on Astraweb were
actually complete to him (on Astraweb).
I also remember that, on occasions, some users (of different
newreaders) have solved such issues after “reloading”/“refreshing”/etc.
the headers from a given newsgroup; it happens sometimes that the
database built by the newsreader becomes “corrupted” for unknown
reasons.
I also googled ~ Astraweb "incomplete downloads" ~ and found several
messages of users complaining about such incompleteness on Astraweb.
But it's hard to say if they are representative of Astraweb behavior in
general.
Hence it is and remains a mystery.
