My new ISP is doing it's bullshit throttling even though I'm limiting
my downloads to one connection from Astraweb. If the ISP is not
throttling the downloads come down at about 1000 kBps. Once the
throttling hits it's avergaing about 100 kBps but very spiky at 300
kBps speaks when you look at Grabit's little download speed history.
I've been switching between downloading from ssl-us.astraweb.com,
ssl.astraweb.com and ssl-eu.astraweb.com and that is, so far working.
But who knows for the future.
So do any NNTP ISPs have more domain names setup just for this
problem?
Unfortunately I'm pretty much limited to this ISP who is a telco. The
cable ISP is a lot worse I've heard.
