I went back to some posts a few years back.
My private newserver permit me to go pretty far back in time.
Most webased BZB search engine as well.
I was D/L'ing some 1,000 days old post that I didn't noticed as
posting time.
D/L'ed the headers from "This" NZB website & begun the RAR files D/L.
It was a DVD format, huge one!
D/'L'ed all the PAR as well as the PAR1, in case of...
Lauched the PAR proggy to find that there was only 8 blocks missing.
But enough to be stucked with all the RAR files.
What I did is to redownload a few "Slim" files.
Only 2 blocks were gained over the first download.
D/L'ed fist but not saving tghem to HD immediatly.
Waited to saved them after the D/L was complete.
Some newsreaders offer that option... (To mention the details).
Then moved to binsearch.info website by curiousity.
Picked up a few NZB files for which I already downloaded too slim
files from the other NBZ website.
To cut this short, I found out that files downloaded from 2 NBZ
websites can differ greatly from one NZB website to another !
The first NZB seach engine I used to get the headers has very useful
seach features to filter the search among other things.
Very usefull search features but not much performant in term of
reliability in the downloaded NZB file.
Conclusion : Search on any NZB file search engine but dowloading the
NZB as such is another task, may I say ?
In case of doubts, check the file size downloaded from another NZB
search engine.
Yes Sam.
