In general: download (portions of) the overview file for the newsgroups
that you're interested in, do some datamining, and build your own index.
This assumes that you have the computer skills (perl and grep) required
for the job, and that your provider's overview file is complete. Since
NewsDemon appears to be a reseller of Eweka, the latter should not be
a problem.
However, if you don't require a general solution, but are just
interested in a.b.e only, then

may be what you're looking for. Hush, most of the good stuff is still
