recently I learned of the Maya Kaimal line of simmer sauces, both
refrigerated and shelf stable, over on eGullet.org
look here :
http://www.mayakaimal.com/
the refrigerated Tikka Masala was superb.. I just added cooked
chicken that i had frozen in a Vac Bag
it was restaurant grade stuff. Whole Foods ( some stores ) carry it
along w the shelf stable.
they are easy and a joy to use. If I had the Tikka I made at an indian
restaurant Id go back there in a flash
use the where to buy to see if they have any near you:
http://www.mayakaimal.com/how-to-buy-store-locator
I plan to try all I can find. that's not to say you cant enjoy making
your own from a really good Indian cookbook
I used to enjoy this myself.
Happy Cooking
