I'd be interested in Destination Flavour Scandinavia. Growing up in
northern Minnesota, on the edge of the "lutefisk ghetto", Scandinavian
food was part of my childhood through exposure by my friends' families.
However, it's difficult finding it, or recipes, outside that area.
(I'm routinely disappointed by how companies miss the mark with their
"Swedish meatballs" and haven't found a suitable recipe.)
BTW, I took college classes taught by the professor, Dr. Lee, who
coined the phrase lutefisk ghetto. And. yes, I've eaten lutefisk but
it's not high on my list of meal choices.
We already have Destination Flavour Japan. In the 70s and 80s, I was
exposed to, and developed and appreciation for, Japanese culture and
cuisine, to the point of being able to differentiate between various
Asia elements that were, back then, lumped together under the label of
"Chinese."
Subsequently, in 1988/89, a military tour in Seoul, Korea, created a
appreciation for Korean history, culture, and cuisine.
