I just do it at the command line. I find it quick and simple 99% of the time,
especially if there's multiple episodes.
in the case of posters who use file splitters instead of rar archives, if the pars
are produced before the split, a simple par2 r A1705.par2 A1705* will check for
missing blocks using both par and split .00n files and then "repair" it back to
the original unsplit file.
Most of the GUI apps are just wrappers around the command line apps and
libraries anyway. Some are good, some are less good, some/most simply
don't work in all cases, especially where posters do "odd" things with their
posts when creating/posting them. The command line may be a steep/long
learning curve for some, but I find it pays off in the end. GUIs are great
for one offs or occasional use, but it never gets better/faster as the user
becomes more skilled.
For downloaders, probably Sabnzb is the best automated one out there
but I find that it doesn't always locate and download the pars on the
few times they are needed and requires manual intervention. The recent
trnd for not posting NZBs has made it less useful.
