Hi sns,
Yeah it's a real pain at the moment for some reason.
Since none of the shows are currently getting indexed and can't be searched
for from their REQID number found at this site,
http://allfilled.bot.nu/teevee/all/ there is no easy solution.
Thankfully they do all get posted to the same group by the same poster.
My method is to subscribe to the alt.binaries.etc group and filter so I see
all the posts by kingof@pr0n.net (brian), from there I can use the REQID for
the show I'm after (found at the above site) and download away, if they stop
posting the REQID again you can download all the .srt files from (brian) and
see what's getting posted by opening the .srt file.
Obviously this is a pain as there's an obvious overhead in subscribing to
the a.b.etc group plus the added time it takes to manually locate the post
you're after, but that's my method.
As for the shows disappearing there is no workaround because that is your
News Service Provider removing them. I subscribed to Tweaknews because on
average it takes about a week for the shows to get removed giving me plenty
of time to get them before they're gone. Some providers remove them after a
few hours though so I'm grateful for the extra leeway.
So I guess in short there are currently no easy workarounds but the above
method works for me.
