I think it depends on whether you use QP to split the media file in
the first place. It worked great on a file I split with QP. Maybe the
others are split with HJSplit or some other app. At least now I know
that it isn't an option that I can control and I can get over it. Very
thankful for the posts in whatever format they arrive.
