At any rate, it would probably do wonders for attendance.

Sounds like a great time in Quebec. People, particularly in
the East, should think of it more often as a destination:
exotic, beautiful, accessible, economical (neither air fare
nor car rental) and no jet lag.

Having heard about how rude the people were, I was reluctant
even to travel in France. While it's true that when the French
want to be nasty, they're very good at it, my experiences were
overwhelmingly positive.

Perhaps speaking the language, however falteringly, helped.

It must become tiresome to encounter tourists who think that
you'll finally understand English if only it's spoken loud
enough.

Hope you like Tombstone. Long as it was, to do it's subject
matter justice, it might have been even longer. Hard to get a
cast like that to do a TV mini-series, although they managed
it with the original Lonesome Dove.
