Apparently getting WINE to work with the various flavors of
the ever evolving Mac OS can be a challenge.

Another option is to use something like Virtualbox...

https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

... to run Windows in a window (maximized if you like) right
on your desktop.

To post, you need a par2 utility...

   http://quickpar.org.uk/

which also splits.

You also need an uploader...

http://www.ngprovider.com/upload-usenet-camelpowerpost.php

Camelsystem's Powerpost will also create a NZB for the UL.

All these apps are freeware. I've used them all and all work
flawlessly.

The one missing element is Windows itself. Quickpar and PP
both run on Windows XP, easily available on ebay for $10 or
so. Make sure it's the "full install" version with a product
key.

Of course you could also get Vista or Windows 7, although
slightly more expensive, they're still supported by Microsoft.
I'd opt for W7, simply because it's so popular and it would
open up the entire range of Windows apps not only for posting
but for everything else.
