Sorry to hear about these issues!
Way back when I used to use a lot of *nix OS' and if there was a Win app
that I couldn't live without then WINE <https://www.winehq.org/> was my go
to app to get them running on *nix.

If you find you can't do what's needed with what's available for OSX you
might try looking at the plethora of Win apps available and launching them
through WINE.

As there's a lot of difference these days between OSX and *nix, some kind
folks have ported 3rd party variants of WINE specifically for OSX
<https://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX> which could be a better option but I'm
unable to test if this is so, a quick read of the various application forums
would yield light there.

Note that WINE is NOT an emulator so there's no slowdown or anything, it's a
really great tool!
