I  have converted some mkv 720x576 files to avi format using the 'keep
original settings' format.  The avi file is 720x576 but while the mkv
file will play at full screen the avi file is smaller with a black
border.  I pretty much use idiot-proof point and click software but I
may be stretching the limits of the software's tolerance.  Am I
misunderstanding the correlation between resolution and screen size?
