Same here.
When I was a child my family was practically adopted into a
family much like the Portokalos, so the movie brought back
some wonderful memories. The Greeks are such warm loving
people.
The TV series featured almost the same cast. Too bad it died
and so quickly. It had everything, except apparently the
writing, to make it into syndication.
Oh well.
I have The Lone Ranger and will get back to you soon.
Back to food.
As you know, I control my SV rig with a fairly simple
thermostat...

It's just an on/off switch (for a Norpro heating element) not
the sophisticated PID you use.
Since I now need a second thermostat for another use, I'm
considering upgrading my SV to a PID.
How stable is the water temperature with your PID thermostat?
If you set it for 55/131 (or whatever), what are the high and
low?
Does your PID have an internal relay or do you use an external
one? If external, do you use a heat sink?
Or maybe all of this is moot and you're using a Sansaire or
Anova (which you mentioned not long ago). They're elegant and
affordable at $200 making clunky home brew rigs increasingly
obsolete. It was fun while it lasted though.
