I though it involved robert deNiro, but not so.
so a robert diNiro of sorts. it was probably set in the 'Conquistador"
times,
and South America, very jungle like
the name that sticks to this for me is Mosquito Coast, but thats later
and Harrison For.
I can clearly see the VCR box cover : Deep S. American Jungle, massive
waterfalll, and the robert dioNero like figure one of those
conquistador swords
