Port 119 is the standard port, but you can also use 23, 25,
80, or 3128. Just pick one. One nice feature about

That's the one you should be using, the US server not the
European one.
In fact, using their trace route tool, the slow down is
completely expected given that you're sending these files
across the Atlantic to post them.
This issue is being made WAY more complicated than it is. Just
use the US server.
