I've tried asking this in the discussion groups, with mostly no replies
(which really seems strange), so I'll try in one of my favorite groups.
I'm running into many missing articles on NewsLeecher. The articles show
complete, but the message is: * Unavail. : None of the article parts were
available on the server(s) anymore (430 No Such Article).
This is happening more, and more. Yes, I know the reason, but the problem
is, in the old days you would have a back-up server. Today, it seems that
Highwinds/Omicron owns everything, and have the same missing articles. Most
even have the same newsrc, and count.
The NewsLeecher client, at least from a search view, doesn't even have the
same results as a generic usenet client. I don't know if that's a filter
function of their client, and I don't know if it happens with other clients
such as Newsbin.
