Thanks for the further tip. I went to Pirate Bay yesterday and got scared
off. The first time I navigated their page, I got hit by a ransomeware
virus that threated to kill my computer if I didn't pay. I used Rollback
("roll back to a previous snapshot of your PC") to get out of that, then
gingerly reentered Pirate Bay. That's when I saw the notice "By entering
TPB, you agree to XMR being mined using your CPU." I didn't even
understand what that meant until I googled it and discovered that XMR is a
bitcoin that TPB intends to mine using my computer. The place seems way
too scary for me.
