As an x NB pro user I'm curious to know why you don't use Newsleecher for what
you describe as "the heavy lifting"? Newsleacher is more intuitive and easier
to use IMHO. I don't understand why, if you use and like the supersearch
feature, you don't use it as a "one stop" package. You should also check out
the superleech feature. It'll have your favourite shows down before any
takedown comes into effect.

PS I wasn't aware that supersearch was available in the free version - must be
a new thing since they made the main reader free to use.
