These posts are done mechanically, not by anyone.
They are generated for indexing sites. They allow them to search groups and identify the contents of posts that have random letters for names etc.
If you search for specific material and use NZBs to download, then you are using these files. Although, most people are not aware of it.
They are both annoying and useful. Without indexing sites and Usenet search sites, subscriptions would drop. Without subscribers, Usenet would fade away.
