Due to posting of "We're doomed ..." on various newsgroups, my wife and
I have discovered Dad's Army.
We've downloaded very old (1000+ days old) posting of the original
series from giganews. Unfortunately, they're just segments, without
pars, and either due to corruption or problematic captures the audio
and video are out of sync or inconsistent.
Could someone please recap/reconvert and post fresh uploads of the
entire series.
My wife is a female Vietnam Era USAF veteran and I am a retired USAF
Master Sergeant and disabled veteran. In addition to being wonderful
examples of British humor, which we appreciate, Dad's Army has
universal appeal to all veterans, regardless of nationality. While
displaying understated over-the-top British humor, many of the
situations in Dad's Army remind us both of similar situations we
experienced during our service. (For example, I was once put in charge
of a team with orders to prevent protestors from accessing the post ...
however, we were not given any means, beyond harsh words, to prevent
incursions.)
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
