WARNING
I really hesitated before posting this rip because the condition of the LP far from top quality.
However I thought that if anyone does not know this choir, even such a bad rip should lead him to learn more about the choir and look for better sound examples.
This choir has a choice place in my memories, first because I think it is a very good choir, and then because I heard it twice here, in 1963 and 1965.
At that time, not many choirs save for the WSK and PCCB, ever crossed the ocean, and moreover, it came from behind the Iron Curtain in the middle of the Cold War.
I still remember the emotional greeting it got from the local Polish community...
This choir was, and I think still is one of three excellent choirs I know from Poznan, including that of the cathedral.
It has had a lot less publicity than the other Poznan "Nightingales", which choir I think has been revived following the "departure" of its conductor.
Both those choirs took off after the war and Stefan Stuligrosz who is now 89 years old is till associated with the choir he directed for so many years.
The picture on the front cover was the same one used for the 1963 Programme cover, and some of the works recorded are listed on that programme. So I guess the record might date from around 1962.
