I don't know if your interest extends to the uncle, Andrea Gabrieli.
If so I can offer this.
As I mentioned I have three LPs, all apparently issued in a short
period (early fifties), featuring the Treviso choir in repertory from
Venetian composers of the 16th century or so.
I had googled for more info about the choir and I found out that the
director, Msgr Giovanni d'Alessi was quite an authority on that
matter.
If you're curious, just search his name.
I found out that one of the three LPs is even available at the
University of Oregon (I think) !
On the other two LPs there are many works from Andrea Gabrieli and
other Venetian composers. The drawback (for me) is that many are for
men's voices only.
For my CD I gathered all the tracks with treble participation and
together with what I have already posted I got a CD over 79 minutes
long. And I must add that in my uninformed opinion the choir sounds
better in that part of the CD originating from these two LPs (all
works by Andrea Gabrieli except for one by Merulo).
Should you be interested I can post those tracks from my CD. However I
would make some clear stipulations to avoid anyone asking me to post
the rest of the LPs, the scans of the covers and all other things that
some purists have been known to ask me :-)
