I have downloaded a broadcast of a concert given by a leading choir while on tour.
The broadcast is over two hours long.
My intent was to burn a CD but up to now I have been unable to do it.
From time to time I have seen messages in this group from obviously very computer-literate people replying to requests for technical help and I thought maybe someone would read this and help me get to that Cd.
To edit files and burn CDs I use the Sound Editor component of Roxio. I thought I could export the downloaded file to Roxio, edit it to fit one CD, or else burn it on two CDs.
The downloaded file is of a nature unknown to me.
It is a Type: Windows Media Audio/Video playlist (.asx) and the size is 333 bytes.
I can play the file with Windows Media Player: the sound is very good.
I have Total Video Converter and I thought I might be able to convert the .asx file into a .wav file but it seems I can't do it.
If I could find a way of first getting a .wav file I would have no problem using the Roxio Sound Editor program and burning the CD.
I also tried with the Roxio Music Creator component to import the downloaded .asx file: I got an Error message about " an invalid character (...) found in text content".
Does anyone know what I could do? I would certainly appreciate the help and in return I promise to post the resulting CD :-)
