Hi and thanks for your reply. I've written to PBS asking them the pertinent
question and now await a reply.
As for copying your home made DVD I have a program called "AutoGK". I use it
when preparing film files for posting. It converts DVD format files to xvid
or divx. If ripping a DVD then DVD Decryptor is useful and will rip most
DVD's and drop a copy onto the hard drive whereupon AutoGK is then used to
convert that copy to AVI format. I actually use both programs at least once
a week to copy DVD's I buy which means the DVD stays in pristine condition
with the subsequent divx file loaded onto my media player which is then
available to view on the household TV at the touch of a button.
If you want them I can post them here but a simple Google would get them,
too. The operation of converting DVD files to AVI can be time consuming and
one I did last night took over three hours to convert but is just as good as
the original DVD.....Again thanks, Rick
